Orkney tidal power plans unveiled
27/9/2007 BBC One of the world’s largest tidal energy projects has been unveiled off the coast of Orkney.
The European Marine Energy Centre has opened a testing facility at Stromness. It will generate enough electricity for thousands of homes but the development potential is believed to be very great.
