Merchant ship launched with ‘kite’ sail to cut fuel/emissions by 20%

A merchant ship, BELUGA SKYSAILS sets out from Bremen to South America next month equipped with a high tech ‘kite’ sail which will reduce fuel and emission costs by 20%. Saving $1600 per day. The first new sail-assisted ship in a hundred years but not a simple return to the past, this is high technology applied to climate change.
