Aviation blamed for causing much of UK’s pollution

21/9/2005   Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research warns that excluding aviation has led to a “serious underestimation” of what is needed to combat climate change.   If the rapid growth in air travel is not curbed Uk businesses and households will have to cut their emissions to zero the report warns.   Ministers say UK air passenger numbers will rise from 18m to 475m by 2030.
