Key discussions April 2008

KEY DISCUSSIONS1)   James Hanson’s research shows that the 550ppm target used by most experts and governments is set far higher than they should be - and we are failing to keep within the 550ppm anyway.

2)   Discredited by realclimate.org - Computer model predicts that natural cycles may hold back global warming for ten years - then it will accelerate again.  A chance to make a difference or an incentive to ignore the warnings?

3)    Latest research on Greenland and Antarctic melting indicates sea levels rising about 3 metres this century compared with previous predictions of 2 to 3 feet.

4)   Oceans warming four times faster than the IPCC 2007 forecast.

5)   Critique of Scottish Climate Change Bill - see Discussions list.

All the details are in the Discussion list or News Lists.
